I'm 27 this year!
At first, this number seemed scary - I felt like I hadn't accomplished enough to already be 27.
I recently learned that millions of people don't live to even see their 5th birthday. Why? Because they didn't have access to clean, safe water.
So this year, for my 27th birthday, I've figured out something I will be so proud to accomplish. I'm choosing to celebrate my birthday by dedicating it to this amazing cause.
I'm asking for a $27 donation from everyone I know to go to Charity: Water. Every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater wells in developing nations. Even better, every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth.
My goal is to raise $5000 by June 30. $5000 is the average amount for what it costs to build a well for an ENTIRE community. By helping me, you'll be helping 250 people get clean water.
Please help me bring clean water to those in need.
